Facade Restoration and Protection System

Alkutex® Facade Cleaning

Alkutex Facade Cleaning paste gently, but effectively. Dissolves surface soiling on porousmineral building materials such as brick and natural stone. It is a ready-to-use, weak acidic, thixotropic facade cleaning paste which is hydrochloric acid free and does not contain free hydrofluoric acid. Because of the low acidity of the paste, pH value 5, the loss of any treated façade surface is insignificant.

Application:

Alkutex Algae Remover is a concentrated cleaning solution for the effective removal of micro-organisms such as algae, moss, lichen, mould, fungus cultures and bacteria. It can be used on concrete, natural stone, sand/lime brick, renders, glass and metal.

Funcosil® SNL Silane Impregnation

Funcosil SNL Silane Impregnation is a low odour hydrophobic, microcidal agent that is used as a deep penetrating, water repelling impregnation for all types of absorbent facade building materials. Funcosil SNL can be distinguished by its high alkali resistance. The substrate surface to be impregnated can show pH values of up to 14 without adversely affecting the properties of the impregnation. After application the active agent is deposited as a layer on the capillary and pore walls. This does not influence the water vapour diffusion capacity.

Application:

All types of absorbent masonry facade building materials.

Funcosil® C40 Impregnation Cream

Funcosil C40 Impregnation Cream is a catalysed, special silane product for the water repelling impregnation of concrete and reinforced concrete up to concrete class B 35 and for old, carbonated concrete surfaces as well as for lime and cement renders.

Application:

Funcosil C40 Impregnation Cream is particularly recommended for water repelling impregnation and priming of concrete and reinforced concrete in civil engineering up to a concrete quality of B 35 and for old, carbonated concrete surfaces as well as for lime and cement renders. Funcosil C40 Impregnation Cream is not recommended for exposed aggregate concrete or similar concrete facade since the application rate is too high. For these applications, use Funcosil Concrete Impregnation.

Funcosil® Stone Strengthener 300

Funcosil Stone Strengtheners mainly consist of reactive silicic acid ethyl ester compounds. These materials are designed to strengthen and consolidate weathered natural stone as well as terracotta, brick, stucco, frescos and loam.

Application:

Funcosil stone Strengthener 300 is suitable for strengthening fine to coarse porous, absorbent and mineral building material.

Funcosil® Silicon Paint System

Funcosil Silicone Paint is a pigmented silicone resin emulsion paint for use on new and old residential, industrial and commercial properties. It is particularly suited for use on historic structures because of its microporous, mineral-like characteristics.

Application:

Can be applied to most building materials and finishes including natural stone.

Funcosil® Historic Scumble and Funcosil WS

The Funcosil Historical Scumble has been developed by Remmers to preserve historical buildings like the Cologne Cathedral. It is based on silicone resin copolymer and high quality mineral extender and pigments. The main property is the original appearance of the substrate (texture and colour) can be retained after painting. This avoids so called “painted façade looks dead”.

Application:

For restoration of Shanghai plaster, natural stone, cement stone. Also for upgrading of stone textures coating, designed coating, artificial stone façade. Both interior and exterior. To match the colour, small mock-up areas shall be set up.

Funcosil® D Silicate Paint

Funcosil D is a single component silicate paint based potassium silicates with organic stabilizers.

Unlike to the conventional emulsion paint, the binder of Funcosil D, potassium silicate, reacts with carbon dioxide in the air to form an amorphous, glass-like silicate structure providing optimal adhesion to cementitious substrates.

Application:

  • Lime cement and cement render
  • Concerte
  • Sand-lime brick
  • Fair-faced masonry
  • Renovation coat on old silicate, lime and cement paint
